Glory to God in the Highest....

In the last week so many amazing things have fallen into place. Work that was supposed to take days, took hours. People who had been impossible to get a hold of called and came through with parts and help. More then a few crisis' were averted. Panic attacks came and went - mostly quietly. God is good. So good.
Tomorrow or the next day R will begin his 2800 mile trek across the ocean to Kodiak where he will finish the 2 last major projects on the boat and then actually start fishing. This trek will take anywhere from 7-10 days, driving nearly non-stop with 2 guys switching off to sleep. R's neighbor Steve came by today and helped him plot his course accounting for 3 ports where he could possibly stop for gas, food, and rest. Steve has been extremely encouraging over the last month while R has been getting the boat ready to make this trip. In some ways this trip is kinda like an interview for the boat to see if it will actually make the fishing season. Everything R has done in the last month has been to get the boat ready for this trip. By the way, we renamed the boat the "Lord Willing" because nothing happens except by His will. There have been so many details that have gone into getting the boat this far and we stand in awe of Him and His mercy on this venture. R and Caleb were even able to take an overnight 'test' trip this past weekend and work out a few extra kinks. Today, someone offered R 10k worth of equipment and parts for about $1500. These kinds of things have been happening so often that there is no way God isn't involved. He really does own the cattle on a thousand hills!

Praise & Pray:
- Praise God for the astounding way things have just clicked into place!
- Praise God for the many people R can call when he is having a hard time believing truth. (seriously I'm just not available all the time. :)
- Praise God for Steve. In so many ways he has tough loved R these past weeks and made sure he was on the right track with his projects yelling at him and Caleb in all the salty fisherman way that counts. (I don't pretend to understand, I just know he has been a really good friend to R when he really needed one.)
- Praise God for all the last little details like the fishing license coming in today, a guy just showing up and basically giving away a bunch of parts that R needs, and all the little last minute necessary projects getting finished today.
- Praise God for Caleb and his willingness to work hard and well.
- Praise God for God and his faithfulness. Our cups are full and overflowing with thankfulness.
- Pray for no leaks when R tanks down the boat for the first time (fills the fish hold with water so he can travel low in the ocean for stability)
- for good weather on his trip
- for no problems with any part of the boat or equipment on this long trip when he might be far from help.
- for favor with a man named Rob who has promised to help R once he gets to Kodiak with the last 2 major projects.
- for peace and calm in R and Caleb's hearts as they go to sea....a bit inexperienced and green.
- for R to continue to trust God and not take the responsibility for things on his own shoulders.
- for protection of mine and our kids hearts as we miss and long for our husband/daddy.

Thanks!

D
